Futuremark Games Studio has just fessed up to the minimum and recommended system requirements of its upcoming spacy multiplayer first-person shooter, Shattered Horizon. In the game teams of players fight in zero gravity to control hollowed-out asteroids, huge fragments of Moon rock and the ruined remains of the International Space Station.
First thing to know about Shattered Horizon is that it doesn't work on Windows XP since it's a DX10 title so you'll need to have either Windows Vista or 7 installed on your PC. As for the hardware required, the minimum is: a Core 2 Duo E6600 or Athlon X2 5600+, 2GB of RAM, a GeForce 8800 GT or Radeon HD 3870 (at least 256MB of VRAM), and 1.5GB of storage space.
The recommended requirements include a Core 2 Quad Q6600 or Phenom II X4 940, 2GB of RAM, the same 1.5GB of HDD/SSD space, and a GeForce GTX 260 or Radeon HD 4870 (512+ MB VRAM).
If you need to upgrade, do it quick as Shattered Horizon will be released in digital download form this holiday. More info about the first game of Futuremark Game Studio can be found here.
