
Four months after making its (limited) European debut, GSC Game World's S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat first-person shooter has now finally crossed the Atlantic and has hit US store shelves. This third episode in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. saga sees players take control of undercover agent Major Degtyarev, an experienced stalker that has to survive in the Zone.
Call of Pripyat is based on the X-Ray v1.6 engine which has DirectX 11 support, and provides players with a new story boasting over 70 missions and side quests, a new A-Life system, two fresh monsters (the Chimera and Burer), a new player interface, a freeplay mode, and more additions.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat is only available for the PC and costs $40.
